Hello, Aspiring Adventurers!

Can you believe it's almost Christmas? As we gear up for the festive season, I’m excited to share this last newsletter of the year with you. I’ll be taking a little break over the holidays, but don’t worry—the next edition will land in your inbox in mid-January, filled with more travel inspiration and tips.

I’ve already started planning my adventures for next year. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be exploring new destinations and revisiting some old favourites. My travels will take me from the bustling streets of Beijing to the charming corners of Moldova. In the US, I'll be exploring the beautiful landscapes of New Hampshire and Maine. I’m also adding some new spots to my list, like Strasbourg and Warsaw, which promise to be fantastic additions to my travel diaries.

In this issue, I’ve got a fantastic travel hack for you—setting up price alerts for flights to save you money on your next adventure. This week's blog dives into the wonders of Bratislava, while last week’s post took you on a journey through Central Europe, from Berlin to Prague via Dresden. Don’t miss the featured gallery from my trip to Beijing and a stunning photo of Krka National Park available for purchase on Picfair. Lastly, I’m excited to share that I'm working on the schedules for our upcoming photowalks.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and happy travels!

Travel Hack No 5 – Effortless Savings: How to Set Up Flight Alerts for Cheaper Tickets

Let's dive into a travel hack that'll help you snag cheaper flight tickets without much hassle. Setting up flight alerts is your ticket to savings, ensuring you don’t miss out on great deals.

Start by using tools like Google Flights, Skyscanner, or Hopper to track ticket prices. These platforms let you set price alerts for your desired routes, sending you notifications when prices drop. I’ve found this incredibly useful on past trips, as I received timely alerts and avoided booking at peak prices.

Explore the price graphs provided by these tools, which show historical data to help predict the best times to book. Booking at least six weeks in advance generally leads to cheaper fares, and being flexible with your travel dates can reveal hidden deals. Don't forget to check different booking classes—sometimes, you can snag a premium seat for a great price.

Consider low-cost airlines for regional flights and keep an eye out for sales or special promotions. Flying into nearby airports can also lead to significant savings, adding a touch of adventure to your journey.

By setting up these alerts and being strategic, you can find the best flight deals without the usual stress. Happy travels, and may your flights be as affordable as they are exciting!
